SEAN Batty has revealed how long Scotland’s heatwave will last as temperatures are set to soar this week.

The STV weatherman said that the mercury could hit 29C within the coming weeks.

Sean Batty revealed how long the heatwave will last

Hundredswere seen basking in the bank holiday sunshine yesterday afternoon and headed to beaches across the country.

And the warm weather is here to stay, with Scotland remaining the hottest part of the UK, Sean reveals.

The west of the country is set to have the warmest weather with temperatures reaching their highest on Wednesday.

Temperatures will then drop a degree or two on Thursday and Friday.

Today Perth, Aviemore, Inverness, Fort William and Glasgow will hit 24-25C.

And tomorrow Fort William, Tyndrum, Lochawe, Inveraray, around Loch Lomond, Glasgow and Paisley will possibly reach 26C.

The good weather is here to stay for the next few weeks.

And Sean reveals that highs of 28-29C could be possible somewhere over the next two weeks.

Eastery air flow will keep temperatures around the mid to high teens along the east coast of the country.

UV levels are currently near their highest, reapplication of sun cream is recommended and seeking shade during afternoons.
